So today my fairy indestructible BlackBerry 8900 finally met its match when it lost a fight with a wooden floor. The LCD screen cracked giving it a lovely tie-dye effect, but this made it impossible to use.
I used this video (below) as a guide, itβs very easy to swap out the screens. The only thing you need to make sure is that you replace the screen with exactly the same model, according to various blogs, this has been changed slightly for later versions and they are incompatible.
On the back of the LCD screen itself, check for the number similar to lcd-16659-002/111. Yours may have 004 instead and so you will need a different part.
